Managing Director - Head of Execution
Katie is Managing Director – Head of Execution at Priority Capital Advisory and is responsible for the execution of the firm’s debt and equity transactions, including capital placement, deal structuring, and loan closing.
With more than 20 years of commercial real estate finance experience, Katie leverages her well-rooted relationships with various debt fund, conduit, private debt/equity, insurance/pension fund, commercial bank, and Agency capital sources to secure debt and equity financing for all commercial property types including multifamily, retail, land, medical/general office, industrial, and hospitality. Her team provides industry leading capital advisory services through all stages of an asset’s life cycle, from acquisition and pre-development, to construction, completion, and stabilization.
During her career Katie has closed more than 350 transactions as a capital advisor, totaling more than $5.2 billion. She spent eight years as a Senior Vice President and Head of Capital Placement for the CEO’s team at George Smith Partners, a Los Angeles based real estate capital advisory firm, and seven years at Capmark Finance, where she began her career as a CMBS underwriter. As a lender, most recently Katie was a Commercial Loan Originator at Argentic Investment Management, where she sourced, structured, and closed non-recourse debt financings via CMBS and CLO (collateralized loan obligations) executions from $5M-$100 million. Katie also worked at Wells Fargo in the Real Estate Capital Markets group on the lending side, where she screened and underwrote CMBS and non-recourse balance sheet acquisition and refinance requests on commercial real estate assets.
Katie holds an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA and a BA with Honors in both French Literature and International Relations from Johns Hopkins University.
She serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for her 200+ unit condominium association. Katie is also a member of the Board of Directors with the Strawberry Lodge Mutual Water Company, a rural water district in the San Bernardino mountains and is an active fire lookout with the Southern California Mountains Foundation in the San Bernardino National Forest.
Katie spends free time hiking and off-roading in the mountains and baking and cooking for neighbors and friends.
